അവര് (സഹോദരന്മാര്) പറഞ്ഞു: അവന് മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് (അതില് അത്ഭുതമില്ല.) മുമ്പ് അവന്റെ സഹോദരനും മോഷ്ടിക്കുകയുണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാല് യൂസുഫ് അത് തന്റെ മനസ്സില് ഗോപ്യമാക്കിവെച്ചു. അവരോട് അദ്ദേഹം അത് (പ്രതികരണം) പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചില്ല. അദ്ദേഹം (മനസ്സില്) പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങളാണ് മോശമായ നിലപാടുകാര്. നിങ്ങള് പറഞ്ഞുണ്ടാക്കുന്നതിനെപ്പറ്റി അല്ലാഹു നല്ലവണ്ണം അറിയുന്നവനാണ്.(77)
(77) ۞ قَالُوا إِنْ يَسْرِقْ فَقَدْ سَرَقَ أَخٌ لَهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ فَأَسَرَّهَا يُوسُفُ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَلَمْ يُبْدِهَا لَهُمْ ۚ قَالَ أَنْتُمْ شَرٌّ مَكَانًا ۖ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَصِفُونَ
They [(Yusuf's (Joseph) brothers] said: "If he steals, there was a brother of his [Yusuf (Joseph)] who did steal before (him)." But these things did Yusuf (Joseph) keep in himself, revealing not the secrets to them. He said (within himself): "You are in worst case, and Allah knows best the truth of what you assert!"(77)
