എന്നിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹം (യൂസുഫ്) തന്റെ സഹോദരന്റെ ഭാണ്ഡത്തേക്കാള് മുമ്പായി അവരുടെ ഭാണ്ഡങ്ങള് പരിശോധിക്കുവാന് തുടങ്ങി. പിന്നീട് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്റെ ഭാണ്ഡത്തില് നിന്ന് അദ്ദേഹമത് പുറത്തെടുത്തു. അപ്രകാരം യൂസുഫിന് വേണ്ടി നാം തന്ത്രം പ്രയോഗിച്ചു. അല്ലാഹു ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിലല്ലാതെ രാജാവിന്റെ നിയമമനുസരിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് തന്റെ സഹോദരനെ പിടിച്ചുവെക്കാന് പറ്റുമായിരുന്നില്ല. നാം ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവരെ നാം പല പദവികള് ഉയര്ത്തുന്നു. അറിവുള്ളവരുടെയെല്ലാം മീതെ എല്ലാം അറിയുന്നവനുണ്ട്.(76)
(76) فَبَدَأَ بِأَوْعِيَتِهِمْ قَبْلَ وِعَاءِ أَخِيهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَخْرَجَهَا مِنْ وِعَاءِ أَخِيهِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كِدْنَا لِيُوسُفَ ۖ مَا كَانَ لِيَأْخُذَ أَخَاهُ فِي دِينِ الْمَلِكِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مَنْ نَشَاءُ ۗ وَفَوْقَ كُلِّ ذِي عِلْمٍ عَلِيمٌ
So he [Yusuf (Joseph)] began (the search) in their bags before the bag of his brother. Then he brought it out of his brother's bag. Thus did We plan for Yusuf (Joseph). He could not take his brother by the law of the king (as a slave), except that Allah willed it. (So Allah made the brothers to bind themselves with their way of "punishment, i.e. enslaving of a thief.") We raise to degrees whom We please, but over all those endowed with knowledge is the All-Knowing (Allah).(76)
