അങ്ങനെ അതിനെ (ശിക്ഷയെ) തങ്ങളുടെ താഴ്വരകള്ക്ക് അഭിമുഖമായിക്കൊണ്ട് വെളിപ്പെട്ട ഒരു മേഘമായി അവര് കണ്ടപ്പോള് അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: ഇതാ നമുക്ക് മഴ നല്കുന്ന ഒരു മേഘം! അല്ല, നിങ്ങള് എന്തൊന്നിന് ധൃതികൂട്ടിയോ അതു തന്നെയാണിത്. അതെ വേദനയേറിയ ശിക്ഷ ഉള്കൊള്ളുന്ന ഒരു കാറ്റ്.(24)
(24) فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ عَارِضًا مُسْتَقْبِلَ أَوْدِيَتِهِمْ قَالُوا هَٰذَا عَارِضٌ مُمْطِرُنَا ۚ بَلْ هُوَ مَا اسْتَعْجَلْتُمْ بِهِ ۖ رِيحٌ فِيهَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Then, when they saw it as a dense cloud coming towards their valleys, they said: "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Nay, but it is that (torment) which you were asking to be hastened! a wind wherein is a painful torment!(24)
