അവന് (ഇബ്ലീസ്) പറഞ്ഞു: ഞാന് അവനെ (മനുഷ്യനെ)ക്കാള് ഉത്തമനാകുന്നു. എന്നെ നീ അഗ്നിയില് നിന്ന് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു. അവനെ നീ കളിമണ്ണില് നിന്നും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു.(76)
(76) قَالَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ ۖ خَلَقْتَنِي مِنْ نَارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِنْ طِينٍ
[Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay."(76)
