അവന് (അല്ലാഹു) ആദമിന് നാമങ്ങളെല്ലാം പഠിപ്പിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് ആ പേരിട്ടവയെ അവന് മലക്കുകള്ക്ക് കാണിച്ചു. എന്നിട്ടവന് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു: നിങ്ങള് സത്യവാന്മാരാണെങ്കില് ഇവയുടെ നാമങ്ങള് എനിക്ക് പറഞ്ഞുതരൂ.(31)
(31) وَعَلَّمَ آدَمَ الْأَسْمَاءَ كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَى الْمَلَائِكَةِ فَقَالَ أَنْبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاءِ هَٰؤُلَاءِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
And He taught Adam all the names (of everything), then He showed them to the angels and said, "Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful."(31)
