(അവന് യൂസുഫിന്റെ അടുത്ത് ചെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു:) ഹേ, സത്യസന്ധനായ യൂസുഫ്, തടിച്ച് കൊഴുത്ത ഏഴ് പശുക്കളെ ഏഴ് മെലിഞ്ഞ പശുക്കള് തിന്നുന്ന കാര്യത്തിലും ഏഴ് പച്ചക്കതിരുകളുടെയും വേറെ ഏഴ് ഉണങ്ങിയ കതിരുകളുടെയും കാര്യത്തിലും താങ്കള് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു വിധി പറഞ്ഞുതരണം. ജനങ്ങള് അറിയുവാനായി ആ വിവരവും കൊണ്ട് എനിക്ക് അവരുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് മടങ്ങാമല്ലോ.(46)
(46) يُوسُفُ أَيُّهَا الصِّدِّيقُ أَفْتِنَا فِي سَبْعِ بَقَرَاتٍ سِمَانٍ يَأْكُلُهُنَّ سَبْعٌ عِجَافٌ وَسَبْعِ سُنْبُلَاتٍ خُضْرٍ وَأُخَرَ يَابِسَاتٍ لَعَلِّي أَرْجِعُ إِلَى النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
(He said): "O Yusuf (Joseph), the man of truth! Explain to us (the dream) of seven fat cows whom seven lean ones were devouring, and of seven green ears of corn, and (seven) others dry, that I may return to the people, and that they may know."(46)
