അത്തരം ഒരാള്ക്ക് നമ്മുടെ വചനങ്ങള് ഓതികേള്പിക്കപ്പെടുകയാണെങ്കില് അവന് അഹങ്കരിച്ച് കൊണ്ട് തിരിഞ്ഞുകളയുന്നതാണ്. അവനത് കേട്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്തപോലെ. അവന്റെ ഇരുകാതുകളിലും അടപ്പുള്ളതുപോലെ. ആകയാല് നീ അവന്ന് വേദനയേറിയ ശിക്ഷയെപ്പറ്റി സന്തോഷവാര്ത്ത യറിയിക്കുക.(7)
(7) وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا وَلَّىٰ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهَا كَأَنَّ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ وَقْرًا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
And when Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to such a one, he turns away in pride, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in his ear. So announce to him a painful torment.(7)
