തങ്ങളുടെ കൈകള് മുന്കൂട്ടിചെയ്തു വെച്ചതിന്റെ ഫലമായി അവര്ക്കു വല്ല വിപത്തും നേരിടുകയും അപ്പോള് ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് നിനക്ക് ഒരു ദൂതനെ അയച്ചുകൂടായിരുന്നോ, എങ്കില് ഞങ്ങള് നിന്റെ തെളിവുകള് പിന്തുടരുകയും, ഞങ്ങള് സത്യവിശ്വാസികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലാവുകയും ചെയ്തേനെ എന്ന് അവര് പറയുകയും ചെയ്യില്ലായിരുന്നുവെങ്കില് (നാം നിന്നെ ദൂതനായി അയക്കുമായിരുന്നില്ല.)(47)
(47) وَلَوْلَا أَنْ تُصِيبَهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And if (We had) not (sent you to the people of Makkah) in case a calamity should seize them for (the deeds) that their hands have sent forth, they should have said: "Our Lord! Why did You not send us a Messenger? We should then have followed Your Ayat (Verses of the Quran) and should have been among the believers."(47)
