അദ്ദേഹം (പിതാവ്) പറഞ്ഞു: നീ എട്ടു വര്ഷം എനിക്ക് കൂലിവേല ചെയ്യണം എന്ന വ്യവസ്ഥയില് എന്റെ ഈ രണ്ടു പെണ്മക്കളില് ഒരാളെ നിനക്ക് വിവാഹം ചെയ്തു തരാന് ഞാന് ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നു. ഇനി പത്തുവര്ഷം നീ പൂര്ത്തിയാക്കുകയാണെങ്കില് അത് നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം. നിനക്ക് പ്രയാസമുണ്ടാക്കാന് ഞാന് ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നില്ല. അല്ലാഹു ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്ന പക്ഷം നല്ല നിലയില് വര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരില് ഒരാളായി നിനക്ക് എന്നെ കാണാം.(27)
(27) قَالَ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُنْكِحَكَ إِحْدَى ابْنَتَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ عَلَىٰ أَنْ تَأْجُرَنِي ثَمَانِيَ حِجَجٍ ۖ فَإِنْ أَتْمَمْتَ عَشْرًا فَمِنْ عِنْدِكَ ۖ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَيْكَ ۚ سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
He said: "I intend to wed one of these two daughters of mine to you, on condition that you serve me for eight years, but if you complete ten years, it will be (a favour) from you. But I intend not to place you under a difficulty. If Allah will, you will find me one of the righteous."(27)
