അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: എന്റെ ജനങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങള് എന്തിനാണ് നന്മയെക്കാള് മുമ്പായി തിന്മയ്ക്ക് തിടുക്കം കൂട്ടുന്നത്.? നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് അല്ലാഹുവോട് പാപമോചനം തേടിക്കൂടേ? എങ്കില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കാരുണ്യം നല്കപ്പെട്ടേക്കാം.(46)
(46) قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ ۖ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
He said: "O my people! Why do you seek to hasten the evil (torment) before the good (Allah's Mercy)? Why seek you not the Forgiveness of Allah, that you may receive mercy?"(46)
