എന്നിട്ട് അവര്ക്ക് അവന് (ആ ലോഹം കൊണ്ട്) ഒരു മുക്രയിടുന്ന കാളക്കുട്ടിയുടെ രൂപം ഉണ്ടാക്കികൊടുത്തു. അപ്പോള് അവര് (അന്യോന്യം) പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവവും മൂസായുടെ ദൈവവും ഇതുതന്നെയാണ്. എന്നാല് അദ്ദേഹം മറന്നുപോയിരിക്കുകയാണ്.(88)
(88) فَأَخْرَجَ لَهُمْ عِجْلًا جَسَدًا لَهُ خُوَارٌ فَقَالُوا هَٰذَا إِلَٰهُكُمْ وَإِلَٰهُ مُوسَىٰ فَنَسِيَ
Then he took out (of the fire) for them a statue of a calf which seemed to low. They said: "This is your ilah (god), and the ilah (god) of Musa (Moses), but [Musa (Moses)] has forgotten (his god).'"(88)
