വിവരമില്ലാത്തവര് പറഞ്ഞു: എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങളോട് (നേരിട്ട്) അല്ലാഹു സംസാരിക്കുന്നില്ല? അല്ലെങ്കില് ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് (ബോധ്യമാകുന്ന) ഒരു ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം വന്നുകിട്ടുന്നില്ല? എന്നാല് ഇവര് പറഞ്ഞതു പോലെത്തന്നെ ഇവര്ക്ക് മുമ്പുള്ളവരും പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇവര് രണ്ട് കൂട്ടരുടെയും മനസ്സുകള്ക്ക് തമ്മില് സാമ്യമുണ്ട്. ദൃഢമായി വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് നാം ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങള് വ്യക്തമാക്കികൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.(118)
(118) وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ لَوْلَا يُكَلِّمُنَا اللَّهُ أَوْ تَأْتِينَا آيَةٌ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ ۘ تَشَابَهَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ
And those who have no knowledge say: "Why does not Allah speak to us (face to face) or why does not a sign come to us?" So said the people before them words of similar import. Their hearts are alike, We have indeed made plain the signs for people who believe with certainty.(118)
