അല്ലാഹു നശിപ്പിക്കുകയോ കഠിനമായി ശിക്ഷിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാന് പോകുന്ന ഒരു ജനവിഭാഗത്തെ നിങ്ങളെന്തിനാണ് ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നത്? എന്ന് അവരില് പെട്ട ഒരു സമൂഹം പറഞ്ഞ സന്ദര്ഭം (ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക) അവര് മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കല് (ഞങ്ങള്) അപരാധത്തില് നിന്ന് ഒഴിവാകുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടിയാണ്. ഒരു വേള അവര് സൂക്ഷ്മത പാലിച്ചെന്നും വരാമല്ലോ.(164)
(164) وَإِذْ قَالَتْ أُمَّةٌ مِنْهُمْ لِمَ تَعِظُونَ قَوْمًا ۙ اللَّهُ مُهْلِكُهُمْ أَوْ مُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا ۖ قَالُوا مَعْذِرَةً إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ
And when a community among them said: "Why do you preach to a people whom Allah is about to destroy or to punish with a severe torment?" (The preachers) said: "In order to be free from guilt before your Lord (Allah), and perhaps they may fear Allah."(164)
