ശിക്ഷ അവരുടെ മേല് വന്നുഭവിച്ചപ്പോള് അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: ഹേ; മൂസാ, നിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവ് നിന്നോട് ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള കരാര് മുന്നിര്ത്തി ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി അവനോട് നീ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുക. ഞങ്ങളില് നിന്ന് ഈ ശിക്ഷ അകറ്റിത്തരുന്ന പക്ഷം ഞങ്ങള് നിന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും, ഇസ്രായീല് സന്തതികളെ നിന്റെ കൂടെ ഞങ്ങള് അയച്ചു തരികയും ചെയ്യുന്നതാണ്; തീര്ച്ച.(134)
(134) وَلَمَّا وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّجْزُ قَالُوا يَا مُوسَى ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِنْدَكَ ۖ لَئِنْ كَشَفْتَ عَنَّا الرِّجْزَ لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ لَكَ وَلَنُرْسِلَنَّ مَعَكَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
And when the punishment fell on them they said: "O Musa (Moses)! Invoke your Lord for us because of His Promise to you. If you will remove the punishment from us, we indeed shall believe in you, and we shall let the Children of Israel go with you."(134)
