അല്ലാഹുവിന് പുറമെ (അവനിലേക്ക്) സാമീപ്യം കിട്ടുവാനായി അവര് ദൈവങ്ങളായി സ്വീകരിച്ചവര് അപ്പോള് എന്തുകൊണ്ട് അവരെ സഹായിച്ചില്ല? അല്ല, അവരെ വിട്ട് അവര് (ദൈവങ്ങള്) അപ്രത്യക്ഷരായി. അത് (ബഹുദൈവവാദം) അവരുടെ വകയായുള്ള വ്യാജവും, അവര് കൃത്രിമമായി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചുണ്ടാക്കിയിരുന്നതുമത്രെ.(28)
(28) فَلَوْلَا نَصَرَهُمُ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ قُرْبَانًا آلِهَةً ۖ بَلْ ضَلُّوا عَنْهُمْ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ إِفْكُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
Then why did those whom they had taken for aliha (gods) besides Allah, as a way of approach (to Allah) not help them? Nay, but they vanished completely from them (when there came the torment). And that was their lie, and their inventions which they had been inventing (before their destruction).(28)
