ശിക്ഷയുടെ കാര്യത്തില് അര് നിന്നോട് ധൃതികൂട്ടുന്നു. നിര്ണയിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഒരു അവധി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് അവര്ക്ക് ശിക്ഷ വന്നുകഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടാകുമായിരുന്നു. അവര് ഓര്ക്കാതിരിക്കെ പെട്ടെന്ന് അതവര്ക്ക് വന്നെത്തുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും.(53)
(53) وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ ۚ وَلَوْلَا أَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى لَجَاءَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
And they ask you to hasten on the torment (for them), and had it not been for a term appointed, the torment would certainly have come to them. And surely, it will come upon them suddenly while they perceive not!(53)
