വിവാഹമോചിതരായ സ്ത്രീകള്ക്ക് ന്യായപ്രകാരം എന്തെങ്കിലും ജീവിതവിഭവമായി നല്കേണ്ടതാണ്. ഭയഭക്തിയുള്ളവര്ക്ക് അതൊരു ബാധ്യതയത്രെ.(241)
(241) وَلِلْمُطَلَّقَاتِ مَتَاعٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۖ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ
And for divorced women, maintenance (should be provided) on reasonable (scale). This is a duty on Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2).(241)
