അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: ഇത് എന്റെ വടിയാകുന്നു. ഞാനതിന്മേല് ഊന്നി നില്ക്കുകയും, അത് കൊണ്ട് എന്റെ ആടുകള്ക്ക് (ഇല) അടിച്ചുവീഴ്ത്തി കൊടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് എനിക്ക് വേറെയും ഉപയോഗങ്ങളുണ്ട്.(18)
(18) قَالَ هِيَ عَصَايَ أَتَوَكَّأُ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِي وَلِيَ فِيهَا مَآرِبُ أُخْرَىٰ
He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses."(18)
