അവന് പറഞ്ഞു: എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, നീ എന്നെ വഴികേടിലാക്കിയതിനാല്, ഭൂലോകത്ത് അവര്ക്കു ഞാന് (ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികള്) അലംകൃതമായി തോന്നിക്കുകയും, അവരെ മുഴുവന് ഞാന് വഴികേടിലാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും; തീര്ച്ച.(39)
(39) قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
[Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all.(39)
