ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, എന്‍റെ സന്തതികളില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ (ചിലരെ) കൃഷിയൊന്നും ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു താഴ്‌വരയില്‍, നിന്‍റെ പവിത്രമായ ഭവനത്തിന്‍റെ (കഅ്ബയുടെ) അടുത്ത്‌ ഞാനിതാ താമസിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, അവര്‍ നമസ്കാരം മുറപ്രകാരം നിര്‍വഹിക്കുവാന്‍ വേണ്ടിയാണ്‌ (അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തത്‌.) അതിനാല്‍ മനുഷ്യരില്‍ ചിലരുടെ മനസ്സുകളെ നീ അവരോട്‌ ചായ്‌വുള്ളതാക്കുകയും, അവര്‍ക്ക്‌ കായ്കനികളില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ നീ ഉപജീവനം നല്‍കുകയും ചെയ്യേണമേ. അവര്‍ നന്ദികാണിച്ചെന്ന്‌ വരാം.(37)
(37) رَبَّنَا إِنِّي أَسْكَنْتُ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ عِنْدَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُمْ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ
"O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in an uncultivable valley by Your Sacred House (the Ka'bah at Makkah); in order, O our Lord, that they may perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), so fill some hearts among men with love towards them, and (O Allah) provide them with fruits so that they may give thanks.(37)
