എന്നിട്ട് അവരതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നു. അപ്പോള് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള് മൂന്ന് ദിവസം നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളില് സൌഖ്യമനുഭവിച്ചു കൊള്ളുക. (അതോടെ ശിക്ഷ വന്നെത്തും.) തെറ്റാകാനിടയില്ലാത്ത ഒരു വാഗ്ദാനമാണിത്.(65)
(65) فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا فِي دَارِكُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوبٍ
But they killed her. So he said: "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. This is a promise (i.e. a threat) that will not be belied."(65)
