എനിക്ക് ശേഷം ഏതൊരു ദൈവത്തെയാണ് നിങ്ങള് ആരാധിക്കുക ? എന്ന് യഅ്ഖൂബ് മരണം ആസന്നമായ സന്ദര്ഭത്തില് തന്റെ സന്തതികളോട് ചോദിച്ചപ്പോള് നിങ്ങളവിടെ സന്നിഹിതരായിരുന്നോ ? അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: താങ്കളുടെ ആരാധ്യനായ, താങ്കളുടെ പിതാക്കളായ ഇബ്രാഹീമിന്റേയും ഇസ്മാഈലിന്റേയും ഇഷാഖിന്റേയും ആരാധ്യനായ ഏകദൈവത്തെ മാത്രം ഞങ്ങള് ആരാധിക്കും. ഞങ്ങള് അവന്ന് കീഴ്പെട്ട് ജീവിക്കുന്നവരുമായിരിക്കും(133)
(133) أَمْ كُنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءَ إِذْ حَضَرَ يَعْقُوبَ الْمَوْتُ إِذْ قَالَ لِبَنِيهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِي قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ إِلَٰهَكَ وَإِلَٰهَ آبَائِكَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ إِلَٰهًا وَاحِدًا وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ
Or were you witnesses when death approached Ya'qub (Jacob)? When he said unto his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We shall worship your Ilah (God - Allah), the Ilah (God) of your fathers, Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), One Ilah (God), and to Him we submit (in Islam)."(133)
