എങ്ങനെയാണ് ആ ബഹുദൈവവിശ്വാസികള്ക്ക് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അടുക്കലും അവന്റെ ദൂതന്റെ അടുക്കലും ഉടമ്പടി നിലനില്ക്കുക? നിങ്ങള് ആരുമായി മസ്ജിദുല് ഹറാമിന്റെ അടുത്ത് വെച്ച് കരാറില് ഏര്പെട്ടുവോ അവര്ക്കല്ലാതെ. എന്നാല് അവര് നിങ്ങളോട് ശരിയായി വര്ത്തിക്കുന്നേടത്തോളം നിങ്ങള് അവരോടും ശരിയായി വര്ത്തിക്കുക. തീര്ച്ചയായും അല്ലാഹു സൂക്ഷ്മത പാലിക്കുന്നവരെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു.(7)
(7) كَيْفَ يَكُونُ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ عَهْدٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَعِنْدَ رَسُولِهِ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ عَاهَدْتُمْ عِنْدَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ ۖ فَمَا اسْتَقَامُوا لَكُمْ فَاسْتَقِيمُوا لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
How can there be a covenant with Allah and with His Messenger for the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) except those with whom you made a covenant near Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah)? So long, as they are true to you, stand you true to them. Verily, Allah loves Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2).(7)
