(പഴയ) അവകാശികള്ക്കു ശേഷം ഭൂമിയുടെ അനന്തരാവകാശികളായിത്തീരുന്നവര്ക്ക് നാം ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില് അവരുടെ കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങളുടെ ഫലമായി നാം ശിക്ഷ ഏല്പിക്കുന്നതാണ് എന്ന ബോധം അവരെ നേര്വഴിക്ക് നയിക്കുന്നില്ലേ? നാം അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളില് മുദ്രവെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. അപ്പോള് അവര് (ഒന്നും) കേട്ടു മനസ്സിലാക്കാത്തവരായിത്തീരും.(100)
(100) أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لِلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْأَرْضَ مِنْ بَعْدِ أَهْلِهَا أَنْ لَوْ نَشَاءُ أَصَبْنَاهُمْ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۚ وَنَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ
Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth in succession from its (previous) possessors, that had We willed, We would have punished them for their sins. And We seal up their hearts so that they hear not?(100)
