അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജനതയിലെ സത്യനിഷേധികളായ പ്രമാണിമാര് പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള് ശുഐബിനെ പിന്പറ്റുന്ന പക്ഷം തീര്ച്ചയായും അത് മൂലം നിങ്ങള് നഷ്ടക്കാരായിരിക്കും.(90)
(90) وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ لَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتُمْ شُعَيْبًا إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَخَاسِرُونَ
The chiefs of those who disbelieved among his people said (to their people): "If you follow Shu'aib, be sure then you will be the losers!"(90)
