നാട്ടുകാര് (സത്യത്തെപ്പറ്റി) ബോധവാന്മാരല്ലാതിരിക്കെ അവര് ചെയ്ത അക്രമത്തിന്റെ പേരില് നിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവ് നാടുകള് നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനല്ല എന്നതിനാലത്രെ അത് (ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചത്)(131)
(131) ذَٰلِكَ أَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ رَبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا غَافِلُونَ
This is because your Lord would not destroy the (populations of) towns for their wrong-doing (i.e. associating others in worship along with Allah) while their people were unaware (so the Messengers were sent).(131)
