അനന്തരം ചന്ദ്രന് ഉദിച്ചുയരുന്നത് കണ്ടപ്പോള് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: ഇതാ എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവ്! എന്നിട്ട് അതും അസ്തമിച്ചപ്പോള് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവ് എനിക്ക് നേര്വഴി കാണിച്ചുതന്നില്ലെങ്കില് തീര്ച്ചയായും ഞാന് വഴിപിഴച്ച ജനവിഭാഗത്തില് പെട്ടവനായിത്തീരും.(77)
(77) فَلَمَّا رَأَى الْقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّي ۖ فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِنْ لَمْ يَهْدِنِي رَبِّي لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الضَّالِّينَ
When he saw the moon rising up, he said: "This is my lord." But when it set, he said: "Unless my Lord guides me, I shall surely be among the erring people."(77)
