നീ എന്നോട് കല്പിച്ച കാര്യം അഥവാ എന്റെയും നിങ്ങളുടെയും രക്ഷിതാവായ അല്ലാഹുവെ നിങ്ങള് ആരാധിക്കണം എന്ന കാര്യം മാത്രമേ ഞാനവരോട് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ളൂ. ഞാന് അവര്ക്കിടയില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നപ്പോഴൊക്കെ ഞാന് അവരുടെ മേല് സാക്ഷിയായിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് നീ എന്നെ പൂര്ണ്ണമായി ഏറ്റെടുത്തപ്പോള് നീ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു അവരെ നിരീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നവന്. നീ എല്ലാകാര്യത്തിനും സാക്ഷിയാകുന്നു.(117)
(117) مَا قُلْتُ لَهُمْ إِلَّا مَا أَمَرْتَنِي بِهِ أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمْ ۚ وَكُنْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا مَا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِي كُنْتَ أَنْتَ الرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَأَنْتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
"Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allah) did command me to say: 'Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.' And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things. (This is a great admonition and warning to the Christians of the whole world).(117)
