അല്ലാഹു അവതരിപ്പിച്ചതിലേക്കും, റസൂലിലേക്കും വരുവിന് എന്ന് അവരോട് പറയപ്പെട്ടാല്, ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കളെ ഏതൊരു നിലപാടിലാണോ ഞങ്ങള് കണ്ടെത്തിയത് അതു മതി ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക്. എന്നായിരിക്കും അവര് പറയുക: അവരുടെ പിതാക്കള് യാതൊന്നുമറിയാത്തവരും, സന്മാര്ഗം പ്രാപിക്കാത്തവരും ആയിരുന്നാല് പോലും (അത് മതിയെന്നോ?)(104)
(104) وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا إِلَىٰ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُولِ قَالُوا حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ
And when it is said to them: "Come to what Allah has revealed and unto the Messenger (Muhammad SAW for the verdict of that which you have made unlawful)." They say: "Enough for us is that which we found our fathers following," even though their fathers had no knowledge whatsoever and no guidance.(104)
