അവന് (അല്ലാഹു) പറഞ്ഞു: എന്നാല് ആ നാട് നാല്പത് കൊല്ലത്തേക്ക് അവര്ക്ക് വിലക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്; തീര്ച്ച. (അക്കാലമത്രയും) അവര് ഭൂമിയില് അന്തം വിട്ട് അലഞ്ഞ് നടക്കുന്നതാണ്. ആകയാല് ആ ധിക്കാരികളായ ജനങ്ങളുടെ പേരില് നീ ദുഃഖിക്കരുത്.(26)
(26) قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ۛ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً ۛ يَتِيهُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ
(Allah) said: "Therefore it (this holy land) is forbidden to them for forty years; in distraction they will wander through the land. So be not sorrowful over the people who are the Fasiqun (rebellious and disobedient to Allah)."(26)
