അപ്പോള് അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: ഓ; മൂസാ, അവരവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്ന കാലത്തോളം ഞങ്ങളൊരിക്കലും അവിടെ പ്രവേശിക്കുകയില്ല. അതിനാല് താങ്കളും താങ്കളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവും കൂടിപ്പോയി യുദ്ധം ചെയ്ത് കൊള്ളുക. ഞങ്ങള് ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുകയാണ്.(24)
(24) قَالُوا يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنَّا لَنْ نَدْخُلَهَا أَبَدًا مَا دَامُوا فِيهَا ۖ فَاذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ
They said: "O Musa (Moses)! We shall never enter it as long as they are there. So go you and your Lord and fight you two, we are sitting right here."(24)
