പലിശ അവര്ക്ക് നിരോധിക്കപ്പെട്ടതായിട്ടും, അവരത് വാങ്ങിയതുകൊണ്ടും, ജനങ്ങളുടെ സ്വത്തുകള് അവര് അന്യായമായി തിന്നതുകൊണ്ടും കൂടിയാണ് (അത് നിഷിദ്ധമാക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.) അവരില് നിന്നുള്ള സത്യനിഷേധികള്ക്ക് നാം വേദനയേറിയ ശിക്ഷ ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.(161)
(161) وَأَخْذِهِمُ الرِّبَا وَقَدْ نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَأَكْلِهِمْ أَمْوَالَ النَّاسِ بِالْبَاطِلِ ۚ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
And their taking of Riba (usury) though they were forbidden from taking it and their devouring of men's substance wrongfully (bribery, etc.). And We have prepared for the disbelievers among them a painful torment.(161)
