സത്യവിശ്വാസികളെ വിട്ട് സത്യനിഷേധികളെ ഉറ്റമിത്രങ്ങളായി സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവരാകുന്നു അവര്. അവരുടെ (സത്യനിഷേധികളുടെ) അടുക്കല് പ്രതാപം തേടിപ്പോകുകയാണോ അവര്? എന്നാല് തീര്ച്ചയായും പ്രതാപം മുഴുവന് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അധീനത്തിലാകുന്നു.(139)
(139) الَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۚ أَيَبْتَغُونَ عِنْدَهُمُ الْعِزَّةَ فَإِنَّ الْعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا
Those who take disbelievers for Auliya' (protectors or helpers or friends) instead of believers, do they seek honour, power and glory with them? Verily, then to Allah belongs all honour, power and glory.(139)
