(നബിയേ,) അല്ലാഹുവിങ്കല്‍ നിന്നുള്ള കാരുണ്യം കൊണ്ടാണ്‌ നീ അവരോട്‌ സൌമ്യമായി പെരുമാറിയത്‌. നീ ഒരു പരുഷസ്വഭാവിയും കഠിനഹൃദയനുമായിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ നിന്‍റെ ചുറ്റില്‍ നിന്നും അവര്‍ പിരിഞ്ഞ്‌ പോയിക്കളയുമായിരുന്നു. ആകയാല്‍ നീ അവര്‍ക്ക്‌ മാപ്പുകൊടുക്കുകയും, അവര്‍ക്ക്‌ വേണ്ടി പാപമോചനം തേടുകയും ചെയ്യുക. കാര്യങ്ങളില്‍ നീ അവരോട്‌ കൂടിയാലോചിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. അങ്ങനെ നീ ഒരു തീരുമാനമെടുത്ത്‌ കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ അല്ലാഹുവില്‍ ഭരമേല്‍പിക്കുക. തന്നില്‍ ഭരമേല്‍പിക്കുന്നവരെ തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അല്ലാഹു ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നതാണ്‌.(159)
(159) فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ كُنْتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لَانْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ ۖ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ ۖ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
And by the Mercy of Allah, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allah's) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).(159)
