അങ്ങനെ അവരെ പൂര്‍വ്വമാതൃകയും പിന്നീട്‌ വരുന്നവര്‍ക്ക്‌ ഒരു ഉദാഹരണവും ആക്കിത്തീര്‍ത്തു.(56)

(56) فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ سَلَفًا وَمَثَلًا لِلْآخِرِينَ

And We made them a precedent (as a lesson for those coming after them), and an example to later generations.(56)
