ഫിര്ഔന് തന്റെ ജനങ്ങള്ക്കിടയില് ഒരു വിളംബരം നടത്തി. അവന് പറഞ്ഞു: എന്റെ ജനങ്ങളേ, ഈജിപ്തിന്റെ ആധിപത്യം എനിക്കല്ലേ? ഈ നദികള് ഒഴുകുന്നതാകട്ടെ എന്റെ കീഴിലൂടെയാണ്. എന്നിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങള് (കാര്യങ്ങള്) കണ്ടറിയുന്നില്ലേ?(51)
(51) وَنَادَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فِي قَوْمِهِ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِي مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَٰذِهِ الْأَنْهَارُ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِي ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
And Fir'aun (Pharaoh) proclaimed among his people, saying: "O my people! Is not mine the dominion of Egypt, and these rivers flowing underneath me. See you not then?(51)
