പരമകാരുണികന്റെ ഉല്ബോധനത്തിന്റെ നേര്ക്ക് വല്ലവനും അന്ധത നടിക്കുന്ന പക്ഷം അവന്നു നാം ഒരു പിശാചിനെ ഏര്പെടുത്തികൊടുക്കും. എന്നിട്ട് അവന് (പിശാച്) അവന്ന് കൂട്ടാളിയായിരിക്കും(36)
(36) وَمَنْ يَعْشُ عَنْ ذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُ شَيْطَانًا فَهُوَ لَهُ قَرِينٌ
And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Quran and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan - devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him.(36)
