അത് പോലെത്തന്നെ നിനക്ക് മുമ്പ് ഏതൊരു രാജ്യത്ത് നാം താക്കീതുകാരനെ അയച്ചപ്പോഴും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കളെ ഒരു മാര്ഗത്തില് നിലകൊള്ളുന്നവരായി ഞങ്ങള് കണ്ടെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; തീര്ച്ചയായും ഞങ്ങള് അവരുടെ കാല്പാടുകളെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നവരാകുന്നു. എന്ന് അവിടെയുള്ള സുഖലോലുപന്മാര് പറയാതിരുന്നിട്ടില്ല.(23)
(23) وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِنْ نَذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ مُقْتَدُونَ
And similarly, We sent not a warner before you (O Muhammad SAW) to any town (people) but the luxurious ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we will indeed follow their footsteps."(23)
