ഇവര് ഭൂമിയിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചിട്ടില്ലേ? അപ്പോള് ഇവര്ക്ക് മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നവരുടെ പര്യവസാനം എങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് ഇവര്ക്ക് നോക്കാമല്ലോ. അവര് ശക്തികൊണ്ടും ഭൂമിയില് (അവശേഷിപ്പിച്ച) സ്മാരകങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടും ഇവരെക്കാള് കരുത്തരായിരുന്നു. എന്നിട്ട് അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം അല്ലാഹു അവരെ പിടികൂടി. അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ശിക്ഷയില് നിന്ന് അവര്ക്ക് കാവല് നല്കാന് ആരുമുണ്ടായില്ല.(21)
(21) ۞ أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا هُمْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَاقٍ
Have they not travelled in the land and seen what was the end of those who were before them? They were superior to them in strength, and in the traces (which they left) in the land. But Allah seized them with punishment for their sins. And none had they to protect them from Allah.(21)
