ആത്മാവുകളെ അവയുടെ മരണവേളയില് അല്ലാഹു പൂര്ണ്ണമായി ഏറ്റെടുക്കുന്നു. മരണപ്പെടാത്തവയെ അവയുടെ ഉറക്കത്തിലും. എന്നിട്ട് ഏതൊക്കെ ആത്മാവിന് അവന് മരണം വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവോ അവയെ അവന് പിടിച്ചു വെയ്ക്കുന്നു. മറ്റുള്ളവയെ നിശ്ചിതമായ ഒരു അവധിവരെ അവന് വിട്ടയക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. തീര്ച്ചയായും അതില് ചിന്തിക്കുന്ന ജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളുണ്ട്.(42)
(42) اللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى الْأَنْفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَالَّتِي لَمْ تَمُتْ فِي مَنَامِهَا ۖ فَيُمْسِكُ الَّتِي قَضَىٰ عَلَيْهَا الْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ الْأُخْرَىٰ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
It is Allah Who takes away the souls at the time of their death, and those that die not during their sleep. He keeps those (souls) for which He has ordained death and sends the rest for a term appointed. Verily, in this are signs for a people who think deeply.(42)
