(അല്ലാഹു പറഞ്ഞു:) ഹേ; ദാവൂദ്, തീര്ച്ചയായും നിന്നെ നാം ഭൂമിയില് ഒരു പ്രതിനിധിയാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ആകയാല് ജനങ്ങള്ക്കിടയില് ന്യായപ്രകാരം നീ വിധികല്പിക്കുക. തന്നിഷ്ടത്തെ നീ പിന്തുടര്ന്നു പോകരുത്. കാരണം അത് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ മാര്ഗത്തില് നിന്ന് നിന്നെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയും. അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ മാര്ഗത്തില് നിന്ന് തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നവരാരോ അവര്ക്ക് തന്നെയാകുന്നു കഠിനമായ ശിക്ഷയുള്ളത്. കണക്കുനോക്കുന്ന ദിവസത്തെ അവര് മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞതിന്റെ ഫലമത്രെ അത്.(26)
(26) يَا دَاوُودُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ الْهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا نَسُوا يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ
O Dawud (David)! Verily! We have placed you as a successor on earth, so judge you between men in truth (and justice) and follow not your desire for it will mislead you from the Path of Allah. Verily! Those who wander astray from the Path of Allah (shall) have a severe torment, because they forgot the Day of Reckoning.(26)
