ഇതാ, ഇവന് എന്റെ സഹോദരനാകുന്നു. അവന്ന് തൊണ്ണൂറ്റി ഒമ്പതു പെണ്ണാടുകളുണ്ട്. എനിക്ക് ഒരു പെണ്ണാടും. എന്നിട്ട് അവന് പറഞ്ഞു; അതിനെയും കൂടി എനിക്ക് ഏല്പിച്ചു തരണമെന്ന്. സംഭാഷണത്തില് അവന് എന്നെ തോല്പിച്ച് കളയുകയും ചെയ്തു.(23)
(23) إِنَّ هَٰذَا أَخِي لَهُ تِسْعٌ وَتِسْعُونَ نَعْجَةً وَلِيَ نَعْجَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَقَالَ أَكْفِلْنِيهَا وَعَزَّنِي فِي الْخِطَابِ
Verily, this my brother (in religion) has ninety nine ewes, while I have (only) one ewe, and he says: "Hand it over to me, and he overpowered me in speech."(23)
