ഭൂമിയില്‍ അവര്‍ അഹങ്കരിച്ചു നടക്കുകയും, ദുഷിച്ച തന്ത്രം കൈക്കൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതിനാലാണ്‌ അത്‌. ദുഷിച്ച തന്ത്രം (അതിന്‍റെ ഫലം) അത്‌ പ്രയോഗിച്ചവരില്‍ തന്നെയാണ്‌ വന്നുഭവിക്കുക. അപ്പോള്‍ പൂര്‍വ്വികന്‍മാരുടെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ ഉണ്ടായ നടപടിക്രമമല്ലാതെ എന്താണവര്‍ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്‌? അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ നടപടിക്രമത്തിന്‌ യാതൊരു ഭേദഗതിയും നീ കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ല. അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ നടപടിക്രമത്തിന്‌ യാതൊരു മാറ്റവും നീ കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ല.(43)
(43) اسْتِكْبَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَكْرَ السَّيِّئِ ۚ وَلَا يَحِيقُ الْمَكْرُ السَّيِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهْلِهِ ۚ فَهَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ الْأَوَّلِينَ ۚ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا ۖ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَحْوِيلًا
(They took to flight because of their) arrogance in the land and their plotting of evil. But the evil plot encompasses only him who makes it. Then, can they expect anything (else), but the Sunnah (way of dealing) of the peoples of old? So no change will you find in Allah's Sunnah (way of dealing), and no turning off will you find in Allah's Sunnah (way of dealing).(43)
