സത്യവിശ്വാസികളേ, നിങ്ങള് സത്യവിശ്വാസിനികളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുകയും, എന്നിട്ട് നിങ്ങളവരെ സ്പര്ശിക്കുന്നതിന് മുമ്പായി അവരെ വിവാഹമോചനം നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്താല് നിങ്ങള് എണ്ണികണക്കാക്കുന്ന ഇദ്ദഃ ആചരിക്കേണ്ട ബാധ്യത അവര്ക്കു നിങ്ങളോടില്ല. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് അവര്ക്ക് മതാഅ് നല്കുകയും, അവരെ ഭംഗിയായി പിരിച്ചയക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക.(49)
(49) يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نَكَحْتُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَمَسُّوهُنَّ فَمَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ عِدَّةٍ تَعْتَدُّونَهَا ۖ فَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ وَسَرِّحُوهُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِيلًا
O you who believe! When you marry believing women, and then divorce them before you have sexual intercourse with them, no 'Iddah [divorce prescribed period, see (V. 65:4)] have you to count in respect of them. So give them a present, and set them free i.e. divorce, in a handsome manner.(49)
