പ്രവാചക പത്നിമാരേ, സ്ത്രീകളില് മറ്റു ആരെപ്പോലെയുമല്ല നിങ്ങള്. നിങ്ങള് ധര്മ്മനിഷ്ഠ പാലിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് നിങ്ങള് (അന്യരോട്) അനുനയ സ്വരത്തില് സംസാരിക്കരുത്. അപ്പോള് ഹൃദയത്തില് രോഗമുള്ളവന് മോഹം തോന്നിയേക്കും. ന്യായമായ വാക്ക് നിങ്ങള് പറഞ്ഞു കൊള്ളുക.(32)
(32) يَا نِسَاءَ النَّبِيِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَأَحَدٍ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ ۚ إِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِي فِي قَلْبِهِ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَعْرُوفًا
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you keep your duty (to Allah), then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery, etc.) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner.(32)
