കുറ്റവാളികള് തങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് തല താഴ്ത്തിക്കൊണ്ട,് ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, ഞങ്ങളിതാ (നേരില്) കാണുകയും കേള്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാല് ഞങ്ങളെ നീ തിരിച്ചയച്ചുതരേണമേ. എങ്കില് ഞങ്ങള് നല്ലത് പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ച് കൊള്ളാം. തീര്ച്ചയായും ഞങ്ങളിപ്പോള് ദൃഢവിശ്വാസമുള്ളവരാകുന്നു. എന്ന് പറയുന്ന സന്ദര്ഭം നീ കാണുകയാണെങ്കില് (അതെന്തൊരു കാഴ്ചയായിരിക്കും!)(12)
(12) وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذِ الْمُجْرِمُونَ نَاكِسُو رُءُوسِهِمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ رَبَّنَا أَبْصَرْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَارْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا إِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ
And if you only could see when the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) shall hang their heads before their Lord (saying): "Our Lord! We have now seen and heard, so send us back (to the world), we will do righteous good deeds. Verily! We now believe with certainty."(12)
