ഇതിന് മുമ്പ് നീ വല്ല ഗ്രന്ഥവും പാരായണം ചെയ്യുകയോ, നിന്റെ വലതുകൈ കൊണ്ട് അത് എഴുതുകയോ ചെയ്തിരുന്നില്ല. അങ്ങനെയാണെങ്കില് ഈ സത്യനിഷേധികള്ക്കു സംശയിക്കാമായിരുന്നു.(48)
(48) وَمَا كُنْتَ تَتْلُو مِنْ قَبْلِهِ مِنْ كِتَابٍ وَلَا تَخُطُّهُ بِيَمِينِكَ ۖ إِذًا لَارْتَابَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ
Neither did you (O Muhammad SAW) read any book before it (this Quran), nor did you write any book (whatsoever) with your right hand. In that case, indeed, the followers of falsehood might have doubted.(48)
