അങ്ങനെ അവര്ക്കു വേണ്ടി അദ്ദേഹം (അവരുടെ കാലികള്ക്ക്) വെള്ളം കൊടുത്തു. പിന്നീടദ്ദേഹം തണലിലേക്ക് മാറിയിരുന്നിട്ട് ഇപ്രകാരം പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു: എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, നീ എനിക്ക് ഇറക്കിത്തരുന്ന ഏതൊരു നന്മയ്ക്കും ഞാന് ആവശ്യക്കാരനാകുന്നു.(24)
(24) فَسَقَىٰ لَهُمَا ثُمَّ تَوَلَّىٰ إِلَى الظِّلِّ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
So he watered (their flocks) for them, then he turned back to shade, and said: "My Lord! Truly, I am in need of whatever good that You bestow on me!"(24)
