ഫിര്ഔന്റെ ഭാര്യ പറഞ്ഞു: എനിക്കും അങ്ങേക്കും കണ്ണിന് കുളിര്മയത്രെ (ഈ കുട്ടി.) അതിനാല് ഇവനെ നിങ്ങള് കൊല്ലരുത്. ഇവന് നമുക്ക് ഉപകരിച്ചേക്കാം. അല്ലെങ്കില് ഇവനെ നമുക്ക് ഒരു മകനായി സ്വീകരിക്കാം. അവര് യാഥാര്ത്ഥ്യം ഗ്രഹിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല.(9)
(9) وَقَالَتِ امْرَأَتُ فِرْعَوْنَ قُرَّتُ عَيْنٍ لِي وَلَكَ ۖ لَا تَقْتُلُوهُ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَنْفَعَنَا أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُ وَلَدًا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
And the wife of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "A comfort of the eye for me and for you. Kill him not, perhaps he may be of benefit to us, or we may adopt him as a son." And they perceive not (the result of that).(9)
