തീര്ച്ചയായും അവന് കളവ് പറയുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലാകുന്നു എന്ന് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ പേരില് അവള് നാലു പ്രാവശ്യം സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കുന്ന പക്ഷം, അതവളെ ശിക്ഷയില് നിന്ന് ഒഴിവാക്കുന്നതാണ്.(8)
(8) وَيَدْرَأُ عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ ۙ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
But it shall avert the punishment (of stoning to death) from her, if she bears witness four times by Allah, that he (her husband) is telling a lie.(8)
